Pray that God will draw us closer to each other and use the group to remind us all of the Gospel.
•	That we will rest in the mercy of God’s love and seek Him for protection during the Christmas Holiday. Our prayer is that we don’t get caught up in the materialism and busyness.

Personally we’re seeing God move among our neighborhood like never before in any other place we have lived. We believe there are a few factors that may have brought this on. We’re so blessed to be living one block from our dear friends who are passionate about reaching other families for Christ. In the past three years we have grown and God has worked in our hearts to realign us to what He wants to do in our lives in regards to our neighborhood. For whatever reason exists God has brought into our lives on a weekly basis about 6-7 couples who enjoy spending time together. Half of them don’t know God personally but there have been many conversations about His love and forgiveness. We connect our families at least once a week and once a month we have a spiritual discussion. This week, we’re hosting a Thanksgiving Eve party to share and pray to God words of praise and thanksgiving.
Pray that God will give us strength, wisdom and love as we talk to these friends about issues in marriage, parenting and finances. All these topics have been a burden to many people and without Christ they are floundering, hopeless and struggle to make sense of it all.
Thank you for taking steps of faith in your own communities to be the hands, feet and voice of Christ. Thank you for partnering with us in these Kingdom Ventures. We appreciate you and your faithful generosity. We pray your holidays are filled with rest, God’s mercy and ultimately His love!!

the incarnational church and business

What does it look like for the church to be the hands, feet and voice of Jesus to those in our cities, communities and neighborhoods? For the past two years I, Steve, have been part of a monthly gathering, called the Incarnational Church Series. We’re gathering pastors, businessmen and women and the regular church goer who takes passionately the mission of Christ and we talk, struggle and wrestle with the issues that surround serving in the city. Topics in the past have included immigration, worship, art and just this past month business.
As a new business owner I was asked to facilitate the forum discussion. On our panel was a global businesswoman who is in charge of creating new works of business globally that help eradicate global poverty, a local pastor who spends his time coaching and training business leaders and a 30 year veteran accountant. I have facilitated the forums in the past but this month it was clear that those in attendance and on the panel sensed God is moving his mission forward through businesses. Discussed was the contrast that a “Christian Businessman” and a “Kingdom Businessman” have in his place of work and mission. What we see in the Christian Businessman is one who splits his ministry world and work. Yet the Kingdom Businessman sees his whole life, work, family as an expression of God’s Kingdom to the world around him. The Kingdom Businessman must wrestle with issues of environment, hiring, firing, local and global poverty as well as evangelism, and discipleship all while keeping a healthy balance of family, community and intimacy with God and others.
What I’m seeing around Denver is that business leaders are no longer content in working hard and giving to the mission financially. They want to be on mission where they are most gifted, at work.
Following the forum three business leaders have asked me to connect and help them in their mission in business. Continue to pray for these tremendous leaders. Pray that they will see how God can use their business to express the love, power and mercy of God to those they work with. Pray they use their influence and expertise to influence government, financial systems, education, media so that the world may see how great God’s Kingdom is and know of its love!.
In this pray God will use the many relationships and conversations with other parents to draw them closer to Christ.
•	For our kids as we talk to them about being leaders for Christ to their teammates and classmates.
•	For wisdom as we evaluate when is a good time to go to Mexico and Africa.
•	For the 4-5 families we have been spending time with and trusting God to touch their hearts.
•	For our Adullam Church gathering that we’re trusting God to start this year.
•	For rest mentally, physically and most importantly spiritually. We ask for intimacy with God and each other and that our days are Spirit filled.
